Welcome to my weblog, which I use for keeping track of interesting stuff. It serves as my basecamp for the exploration of the Internet, the "Blogosphere" and life in general.
Some guys just seem to have everything. Take Paul Stamatiou, a 21 year old A-list tech blogger / programmer while still at University. Always got interesting posts and even does some great tutorial’s for the lesser programming gods among us (I greatly enjoyed that one!).
And now, what do I find at Technorati? A whole Nike video ad around Paul and some fancy Nike running shoes – Ipod combination. How about that? What’s next: Hollywood?
I am not making fun of Paul here. Actually I greatly admire his talents for writing, programming and having the time to blog that much. And then there is that running. Having picked up running again recently and then seeing the video ad was what gave me the idea for this funny post tonight.
By the way here are Paul’s comments on that whole ad creation process.
By the way Paul, your last run on the Nike site gives me the date 14th of December! A long holiday?
To balance this blog post a bit on that Nike thing, I wanted to feature here an episode of Loic Le Meur’s Seesmic Startup video’s, in which he really, really says some bad things about Nike shoes. However I can not find that episode! What a pity!
The Sci Fi Channel, which broadcasts the series, has created online mini-episodes…each just a few minutes long and viewable on devices ranging from iPods to laptops to desktops to full-size television sets, feature characters from the television show. And they have the same dark feel of broadcast episodes of “Galactica,” a post-apocalyptic survival tale of humans on the run after their home planets have been destroyed.
The mini-episodes will go online, one at a time, on Tuesday and Thursday nights until “Galactica’s” season premiere on Oct. 6.
And…
The channel is hedging its bets by releasing a one-hour recap, called “The Story So Far,” summarizing the show to date. It will appear in September on several NBC Universal television channels (Sci Fi, USA, Sleuth, Bravo, Universal HD) and will be available free on the SciFi.com Web site, on iTunes, on YouTube.com, on Yahoo.com, on United Air Lines flights and at Universal theme parks.
I immediately clicked through and tried to start up the first episode, but all I got in the video player was the picture shown above. The system of Regional Lockout actually locks out Europe (or only the Netherlands?) and maybe other regions as well. Too bad!
Fortunately Sci Fi channel will release a one hour “The Story So Far” recap even through YouTube.com. I bet the webclips will become available through a videohosting service as well. Maybe Dabble will assist me?
Edit (7/9/06): The first webisode is already appearing all over YouTube. Some have already been taken down. Hope this one stays.

In his popular The Word segment, Stephen Colbert features Wikipedia, making fun of its Truthiness value and even asking to audience and viewers to cause some havoc on Wikipedia.
