Is popularity slowly killing Second Life?
A freightening and alarming post on the 3pointD weblog yesterday.
Mark Wallace sums up a few warning signals concerning the question if the Second Life infrastructure is going to stand under the pressure of the continuing entrance of new residents:
- Linden Lab searching for a new leader in technical operations
- a new contigency plan under which Linden Lab can refuse entrance to people with free accounts that have not done any transactions in Second Life. If your account profile info reads: “Payment Info Used” you are clear.
I wonder what we will conclude about this by the end of this year?
