An Industry around Second Life?
This is no advertisement. It is just the result of my continuous amazement of what is going on around Second Life.
Over the last two days via a number of blog post (e.g. here at Loic’s blog) I found these two interesting companies making their money via offering products related to virtual worlds:
- Millions of Us: a company dedicated to helping businesses understand and harness the power of virtual worlds. See there nice weblog for some applications and this post about the first live play on Second Life. And last but not least the play even had a real review as well!
- The Electric Sheet Company: offering solutions for virtual world commerce, creativity, and community. They are also the company behind SLboutique a place in the “first world” where you can buy the weirdest SL stuff with Linden dollars.
